The police in any country is there for serving it's citizens. Instead because of the unlimited and infinite power given to the police force, gave police officers the attitude that they are actually ruling over citizens, us, who are actually their employers, their salary is getting paid by all citizens' tax dollars. Unfortunately the police officers are unionized and the public and people who become victim are not. Neither the public have any legal support.
In several countries the police officer required either a written or a verbal permission from the District or county head who is an administrative head and who at least has a bachelor or a master degree in the law. The district or county head evaluates every situation and based on that situation, orders the police officer to use the gun, as a last resort, and not as show off of power. In the US unfortunately the police is in control and has power and makes decision him/her self.
